Celeste Lizza is a licensed Acupuncturist, Diplomat of Acupuncture,  Massage Therapist, And Acupuncture Detox specialist.  Growing up in Long Island, New York,  Celeste attended Oyster Bay high school-where she was enrolled in honors classes, a member and frequent writer in the school journal, and an active participant in theater and choral programs.  Celeste spent her last two years of high school at Long Island High School of the Arts where she trained with well known professionals in body mechanics and grounding techniques which she incorporates into her treatments today.  After high school Celeste attended Suny College at Potsdam where she studied and took part in modern interpretive dance and meditation classes.  In these two years Celeste discovered her ability and passion towards Massage Therapy, energetic techniques, and holistic healing.  Celeste received an associates degree in Business and went on to work 3 years at both Whole Foods and Trader Joes where she picked up a variety of techniques and advice for healthy living , healing through diets, and the use and healing properties of herbs and essential oils.  Celeste began her journey into Massage Therapy and Acupuncture after witnessing first hand its benefits- leading  her to begin her studies at New York College of Health Professions in both the Massage Therapy and the Acupuncture program-here she learned techniques such as Myofascial release, Fire, flash and static cupping, Moxabustion, and various styles of acupuncture.  In hopes to gain a better understanding of the human body, Celeste attended Cadaver and anatomy labs with Dr. Joseph Musculino. During school Celeste worked to become, a certified acupuncture detox specialist, apprenticing at rehabilitation centers- and over the years has helped people overcome numerous addiction.  Celeste graduated with an associates degree in massage therapy, a bachelors in Science and a Masters degree in acupuncture. She is currently licensed in both.  In order to further her path in healing, Celeste has completed seminars in cancer care, fertility, nueropuncture for sleep sleep disorders, business and safety procedures, medical qi gong, and continues her education regularly  .  Celeste is CPR, First Aid, and CNT certified,.  Having Experienced the healing and sometimes life changing effects of massage therapy and acupuncture-Celeste plans to devote her career to having her patients experience the same, and is proud to bring Acupuncture and Wellness to the Hurleyville area.
